ATV trail through forest near Duck Creek

ATV Trails

Loops, difficulty, and standout routes on the Markagunt Plateau

The Markagunt OHV system

The Markagunt OHV system in Dixie National Forest offers roughly 300-500 miles of interconnected routes across seven loops.

The trails are mostly old forest service roads with hardpack and occasional loose rock, so the system works well for scenic, relaxed riding.

Use a current map and confirm conditions locally before you head out.

For the latest route status and MVUM, see road conditions.

Difficulty levels

Choose routes that match your experience and vehicle.

  • Easy - Suitable for families and newer riders.
  • Intermediate - Some technical sections; moderate experience helpful.
  • Expert - Challenging terrain; for experienced riders only.
