Bryce Canyon National Park today announced it welcomed 1,967,367 recreation visits in 2025, reflecting the implementation of a more precise and refined visitor counting method that will significantly enhance future planning and park management.
Bryce sits at the same elevation band as Duck Creek Village, so the weather you see out the window at the inn is close to what the hoodoos are getting. The alerts that matter most for a day trip: Wall Street closures (it is half of the classic Queen's Garden/Navajo loop), fire restrictions in summer, and ice advisories in the shoulder seasons.
Plan the day itself with our Bryce Canyon guide, and if a star party or full moon hike shows up in the programs above, it pairs perfectly with a dark-sky evening back on the plateau.

Everything in the live sections above comes straight from the National Park Service Data API — the same feed behind nps.gov — rendered unedited with a timestamp. The page refreshes at least every 15 minutes, and alerts are re-checked on every visit. We run the inn an hour west in Duck Creek Village and share the same mountain weather Bryce gets.
Bryce Canyon is open every day of the year, 24 hours a day. What changes is trail access — Wall Street (half of the Navajo Loop) closes regularly for rockfall and ice — plus seasonal road plowing and fire restrictions. The live alert list above comes straight from the National Park Service.
Wall Street closes often — for winter ice, and intermittently for rockfall. Any current closure appears in the live alerts above; when Wall Street is closed you can still hike Queen’s Garden and the Two Bridges side of the Navajo Loop.
No — the shuttle (roughly April to October) is optional for regular vehicles. It is a nice way to skip viewpoint parking in midsummer, but you can drive the full scenic road year-round as plowing allows.
Bryce Canyon runs astronomy programs all season — star parties, full moon hikes, and the annual Geology Festival. The upcoming ranger programs list above is pulled live from the park’s event calendar, with dates and details.
Stay at Duck Creek Village Inn — an hour from Bryce Canyon with none of the gateway-town markup.
