Cedar Breaks Night Sky Tours
Free Friday and Saturday night ranger star tours at Point Supreme, 10,000 feet up and half an hour from the inn.
Cedar Breaks National Monument runs night sky tours every Friday and Saturday through the end of September at the Point Supreme Overlook, generally 8:30 to 10:30 PM. No reservations are required. At just over 10,000 feet the monument has some of the darkest, driest air in the region, and rangers bring telescopes out for the crowd. The park asks visitors to dress for genuinely cold summer nights, use red-light flashlights only, and skip flash photography. This is the closest dark-sky program to Duck Creek Village Inn, about 30 minutes up Highway 14 and across Highway 148, which makes it the easiest night-sky outing on the whole calendar for our guests.
