Susan Edwards and her daughter Danelle French opened Aunt Sue's Chalet on September 28, 2008, with a favorite nephew supplying the name. It was a second act for a restaurant family: the Edwards had run the Chalet Cafe in Mesquite, Nevada for roughly two decades, and their Duck Creek roots reach back to property they bought in 1974 and a cabin they finished by 1980. Today you will often find four generations of the Edwards family working the dining room together.

Breakfast and dinner are both served all day, so steak and eggs and a fried chicken dinner can share the same table at 4 PM.
Whole homemade pies come in about ten flavors to take back to the cabin, and the banana, chocolate, and coconut cream pies are pre-order only — call ahead if you want one.
