Bryce Canyon National Park runs ranger-led star parties at Sunset Point on select nights, with the remaining August 2026 dates falling on August 6, 7, 8, 13, and 14 from 9:45 to 11:30 PM. Rangers set up telescopes and talk through what is overhead; the park averages around 100 astronomy programs a year and holds an International Dark Sky Park designation. Inclement weather can cancel or move the event, so the park asks visitors to check with rangers at the visitor center before 8:00 PM. From Duck Creek Village Inn the drive is a little over an hour, and the plateau skies on the way back are nearly as dark as the ones over the hoodoos.
