Policies & Stay Details

The planning basics guests usually want before they reserve

This page is here to make the stay simpler, not to bury you in fine print. The most important things to know are how arrival works, which stays are pet-friendly, how weather can affect the drive, and when it makes sense to contact us before booking.

Arrival & Departure

Check-in begins at 3:00 PM and check-out is at 11:00 AM. Early check-in and late check-out may be available for an additional fee with advance notice. If you expect a later arrival, reach out ahead of time so we can help you plan the smoothest handoff.

Direct Booking & Changes

Direct booking is the simplest way to keep reservation questions and stay changes close to the inn. If you want help comparing dates, cabins, or room fit, ask before you lock it in.

Cancellation Questions

Cancellation terms are tied to the reservation you booked. The safest route is to review your confirmation and contact us directly if you want to talk through options before arrival.

Pet-Friendly Stays

Hotel rooms are not pet-friendly. Bear Cabin, Moose Cabin, and Forest Haven welcome pets, and each carries a $50 pet fee per stay.

Outdoor Use & Fire Season

Outdoor grill use can be limited during high fire season. If your stay depends on patio time or outdoor cooking, ask what current conditions look like when you book.

Weather & Winter Arrivals

Mountain weather can change the timing of a Duck Creek arrival faster than people expect. If a storm is moving in, check road conditions and live cams before you leave lower elevation.

Accessibility & Special Requests

If accessibility, room location, or arrival support matters to your stay, contact us before booking so we can point you toward the right option instead of asking you to guess from photos alone.

Questions Before You Commit

Duck Creek trips often depend on weather, routes, pets, and the right balance of park days and mountain downtime. Contact us before booking if you want help matching the stay to the season.

The easiest way to avoid a mismatch

If your trip depends on a pet-friendly cabin, an accessible room, a late arrival, or a weather-sensitive drive, do not wait until the day before the stay to ask. A quick call or email is usually enough to clear up the details and keep the reservation aligned with the trip you actually want.

Use these pages when your question is less about rules and more about which stay to book, how to time the drive, or what to expect once you are on the mountain.
