Cedar City is 29 mi from Duck Creek Village, about 45 min by car.
The nearest town with a full-size grocery store, a hospital and an airport (CDC). Highway 14 climbs Cedar Canyon to a 9,905 ft summit and then drops to the village. That climb is the part to plan around in snow.

In summer the road crosses Cedar Breaks on UT-148 and the drive takes about 40 minutes. From about mid-November to mid or late May, UT-148 is closed past the Highway 14 junction and the trip becomes 61 miles by way of Parowan Canyon, I-15 and Cedar City.

South on US-89 to Long Valley Junction, then west on Highway 14. Arriving from the east, you reach the village without crossing the summit on the Cedar Canyon side.
Bryce Canyon City is 47 mi from Duck Creek Village, about 50 min by car.
Out through Red Canyon on UT-12, south on US-89, then west on Highway 14. Like Panguitch and Kanab, this side has no summit to cross.

North on US-89 through Mount Carmel Junction to Long Valley Junction, then west on Highway 14. This is the way in for most people driving up from Arizona through Page.

The direct way runs through Zion on the Zion–Mt. Carmel Highway, so you pay the park entrance fee even if you do not stop. Since June 7, 2026, vehicles over the NPS size limits are banned from that highway; they go around through Hurricane and Cedar City, about 87 miles and just under 2 hours.

UT-9 and UT-17 through Toquerville to I-15, then north to Cedar City. Going east through Zion looks shorter on a map but takes about 40 minutes longer.
St. George is 82 mi from Duck Creek Village, about 1 hr 40 min by car.
I-15 north to Cedar City (exit 59), then Highway 14 east. Routing through Zion instead adds about an hour plus the park entrance fee. The inn sits about 5,600 feet higher than St. George.
Mesquite, NV is 120 mi from Duck Creek Village, about 2 hr 20 min by car.
The same route as St. George, 38 miles farther. Mesquite is on Pacific time and Utah is an hour ahead, so set your arrival time in Utah time.

The closest of these airports. The drive follows UT-14 east into Cedar Canyon.
Duck Creek Village sits along UT-14. Your approach depends on which side of the mountain you arrive from.
Leave I-15 at Cedar City and follow UT-14 east through Cedar Canyon toward Duck Creek Village. Allow time for curves, changing weather, and slower traffic.
Follow US-89 north from Kanab, then turn west onto UT-14 toward Duck Creek Village. This is the usual approach from Phoenix via Page and Kanab.
