Fall Fest

Fall Fest runs Fri. Sep. 25 through Mon. Sep. 28, 2026. Hat decorating Friday at Hot Mama's, a village wide passport game all weekend, and Saturday brings live music at DC Pub & Grill, a church bake sale, a photo and painting exhibit, and specials at 9 local businesses including ours.

Fall Fest runs Friday September 25 through Monday September 28, 2026, put on by the Duck Creek Village Chamber of Commerce. Schedule below is from the chamber's own printed schedule of events. Friday September 25, 3PM to 5PM, at Hot Mama's Pizza & Brew: fall and Halloween hat decorating. Hats are provided and you can bring your own. Friday September 25 through Monday September 28: the Fall Fest Passport Game. Get a passport stamped at participating businesses for a chance to win prizes. Shop local, explore local, win local. Saturday September 26 is the big day. Participating businesses run live entertainment, food specials, refreshments, games and giveaways: Ground & Toasted, Lofty Nest, ERA Mountain Man Realty, DC Pub & Grill, Hot Mama's Pizza & Brew, Mountain Life Offroad, Aunt Sue's Chalet, Cedar Mountain True Value Country Store, and Duck Creek Village Inn. Lofty Nest runs a raffle giveaway at 4PM. Also on Saturday: live music at DC Pub & Grill from 3PM to 6PM, and the Duck Creek Community Church bake sale at Cedar Mountain True Value Country Store from 9AM to 2PM. Saturday and Sunday: a photography and painting exhibit all day at Cedar Mountain True Value Country Store, and a photographer taking family photos at Mountain Life Offroad from 1PM to 2PM. The dates land on peak. Aspens at village elevation, roughly 8,400 feet, turn in the last week of September and the first week of October in most years, based on 22 dated observations from 2014 to 2025 on our own tracker. Cedar Breaks sits near 10,000 feet and turns 1 to 2 weeks earlier, so the rim can be past peak while the village is still full gold. Highway 14 between the village and Cedar City is the drive, and the color moves downhill as the season goes on. Three things worth planning around. Cedar Breaks charges $25 per vehicle and takes cards only, and its visitor center closes for the season in mid October. Utah's muzzleloader deer hunt runs September 23 to October 1, so it covers the whole festival: wear orange on the trails and expect trucks at the trailheads. Brian Head's scenic chairlift stopped running after September 20, so it is not an option this weekend.
