An extended-stay option up the mountain for Cedar City and Iron County crews
Have a job in Duck Creek Village and a crew based in Cedar City or elsewhere in Iron County? Cedar City is about 30 miles from the inn, roughly 45 minutes up Highway 14. Instead of making that drive at both ends of a shift, your crew can stay in the village, close to the work: Duck Creek Village Inn has six rooms in a log lodge and three cabins. Book online, or call or email us. Staying a week or more? Call us and we'll apply a weekly discount.

From Cedar City the drive is about 30 miles, roughly 45 minutes, all on Highway 14. It is short on paper, but it climbs Cedar Canyon to a 9,905 ft summit, and making it before and after every shift adds up.
From the I-15 side, Highway 14 climbs Cedar Canyon to a 9,905 ft summit before it drops to the village, and that climb is the part to plan around in snow. The road is plowed all winter, but storms can bring traction requirements or temporary closures. Staying in the village keeps your crew off that climb twice a day.
We're one of the only places in Duck Creek Village with a staffed front desk. If the crew needs something, ask at the desk. We keep a small selection of drinks and snacks there, and we're glad to suggest where to eat, where to grab supplies, and how the roads look.
