Three stations near the village set the March numbers
Duck Creek Village has no working weather station, so the numbers here come from three neighbors. The Assay fire weather station sits at 8,100 feet, six miles east. Panguitch Lake reports from 8,300 feet, and the Harris Flat snow site from 7,800 feet in a meadow five miles southeast. Their March afternoons average 47.9, 46.6 and 46.7F.
Nights split by terrain, the same pattern our December weather post found. Assay averages 24.7F and Panguitch Lake 23.0F. Harris Flat averages 17.5F, because cold air drains off the slopes after dark and pools in flat meadow ground. That meadow fell to minus 13F on March 26, 2023. Midway Valley, at 9,830 feet near the Highway 14 summit, runs about 8 degrees colder by day, with a 38.5F average high.
The month warms as it goes. At Harris Flat, the first ten days average 44.2F in the afternoon and 15.1F at night, and the last eleven average 48.4F and 19.3F. Daylight saving time starts on March 14, 2027, so sunset moves from 6:25 pm on March 1 to 7:54 pm on March 31. The spring equinox falls on March 20.

Harris Flat hit 75.9F, Panguitch Lake 76.8F and Assay 79F, and the Harris Flat average high for that March came in 12 degrees above its average.
