Regulations
These rules apply to the Dixie National Forest Markagunt OHV system. Verify current requirements with the Forest Service before you ride.
- Stay on designated routes only. Cross-country motorized travel is prohibited in Dixie National Forest.
- Utah OHV registration/sticker is required for all OHVs operated on public land.
- Spark arrestors are required. Noise limit 96 dB.
- Vehicle width limit 62" or less on OHV-only routes (72" or less where designated).
- Helmets required for riders under 18.
- Consult the current Motor Vehicle Use Map (MVUM) for routes open to motorized use. Forest Service OHV information: fs.usda.gov/dixie.

Stay on designated routes
Cross-country motorized travel is prohibited in Dixie National Forest. Ride only on routes shown as open on the current Motor Vehicle Use Map (MVUM). This protects wilderness, wildlife, and trail quality for everyone.
