We are clearing out the inn on Friday August 7 and Saturday August 8, 7:30 to 10:30 in the morning, in our parking lot at 815 E Hwy 14. Video game consoles, games, Pokemon cards, board games, puzzles, decor, furniture, and a lot more. Cash and Venmo, and rain moves us into the garage. We are selling off a lot of what has accumulated inside this inn, and we are doing it in our own parking lot on Friday August 7 and Saturday August 8, from 7:30 to 10:30 in the morning. The address is 815 E Hwy 14, right here in Duck Creek Village.
The flyer says “not your average yard sale,” and that is not us being cute about it. Most yard sales are one family’s closets. This is a lodging property clearing out, which means the piles are deeper and the categories are stranger.
What we are selling
Video game consoles and games. Pokemon cards. Board games. Puzzles. Decor, a lot of decor. Some furniture. And more than we can list, because we are still pulling things out.
The board games and puzzles are worth a specific mention. A mountain inn at 8,400 feet accumulates rainy-afternoon entertainment the way a beach house accumulates sand, and this is years of it going at once. If you run a cabin, a rental, or a basement that needs filling, this is the sale for that.
The Pokemon cards will go to whoever gets here first, and we are not sorting or grading them for anybody. Bring your own knowledge.
There is furniture too, so bring a truck or a trailer if you are the kind of person who will regret not having one. We are not holding pieces for a second trip.
Which morning to come
Two mornings, three hours each, and they are not the same sale.
Friday is for selection. Everything is out, nobody has picked through it, and the odd specific thing you are hoping for is still there. If you know what you want, or if you want the furniture, come Friday. The big pieces will not last two mornings.
Saturday is for price. What is left on Saturday is what we would rather not carry back inside, and we will be in a mood to move it. If you are browsing rather than hunting, Saturday is the better morning.
That is the whole strategy. There is no third day.
If you are coming up from the desert
Friday and Saturday are forecast at 108 and 111 in St George, and 110 and 113 in Las Vegas. Duck Creek is forecast for 82 and 83. You are looking at a 25 to 30 degree drop for the drive up Highway 14, which is the reason half the village exists in August.
If you are making the trip, the sale ends at 10:30 and the day is still wide open. Where to eat in Duck Creek Village covers breakfast and which places open when. Cascade Falls and Strawberry Point are both short drives with big payoff, and Mammoth Cave is the lava tube the kids will still be talking about in the car.
There is also a reason to stay the night. The Perseid meteor shower is already active in early August and builds toward a moonless peak the following week, and the sky here is dark enough that it counts. If you want to make a weekend of it, our rooms and cabins are right where the sale is.

Friday August 7 and Saturday August 8. 7:30 to 10:30 AM both days. 815 E Hwy 14, Duck Creek Village, in the inn’s parking lot. Park anywhere in the lot.
We take cash and Venmo. If it rains, we move into the garage and the sale goes on.
One ask, and we mean it in the friendliest way: no early birds. We open at 7:30 and not before. We are still setting out tables until the minute we start, and a line of headlights at 6:45 makes that harder for everyone. Come at 7:30 and you will not have missed a thing.
Come Friday if you want the furniture and the good stuff. Come Saturday if you want the deal.
